Synopsis: The show opens directly into a challenge with no "previously," no titles, or anything like that. The three tribes walk in, expecting a merge, but are surprised to see a big challenge course. Jeff announces that Wendy was voted out, announces the merge, and hands out new "Vata" buffs. He then brings in the six people from Extinction Island, and explains their existence to the merged tribe. The Vata tribe sits to the side to watch the Edge people compete for a single slot to join Vata. Chris has been practicing with the practice materials he got awhile back. Keith puts his knot curse on Chris. In the challenge, Aubry gets a big lead, but Devens wins, and joins Vata.Jeff tells Vata that as each of their members gets voted out, they will have the same choice these people did, then he sends them to their feast back at camp. After they're gone, he talks with the losers. Aubry is emotional about what the game meant to her. Then Jeff tells them they have the same choice as before. They're ecstatic. They all decide to get back on the boat to Extinction Island.Wentworth acts normal at the feast, but is privately unhappy that Devens is back. Devens and Julie hit it off.Back at Extinction, Keith and Wendy raise the surrender flag and exit the game. Only Reem, Chris, and Aubry remain. After the feast, Wentworth schemes with Lauren. They both have idols. Wentworth talks with Joe. Wentworth privately hates that Joe is here, again, in a majority alliance, again. Wentworth pretends to buddy up with Joe. Wentworth and Lauren try to convince the other women to vote off Devens. Julie plays along, but is privately revolted by the idea of sending Devons right back to Extinction.Devens finds that he has something in his bag, and sneaks off to view it privately. It's a medallion-shaped immunity idol, but fractured into two pieces. A note says that it can't be used at the next tribal council, but any time after that. Also, he must give half of it to another player. He meets with David at night and tells him all about it.Balancing statues on poles while standing on wooden beams, and fighting wind gusts, the players compete for individual immunity. Lauren and Julie are the last two standing after more than forty minutes; Julie wins.Julie tells Devens he's a target, but promises him he won't be going home. Devens meets with David, gives him half of the medallion, and tells him what Julie said. Joe sits at camp painting the tribal flag while the other players go chase chickens. Ron tries to scheme with Joe, but seems to get a brush-off. Ron is actually aligned with five others, the Kama Six. Failing to catch a chicken, the Kama Six discuss whether to go for Joe, Wentworth, or what.At tribal council, Jeff surprises everyone by bringing in the jury: the three remaining Extinction people. They sit silently and watch. After a lot of random, uncertain discussion (but no private whispering), the vote goes down. No one plays an idol, and Jeff reads the votes: Devens, Wentworth, David, Devens, David, Wentworth, David, Joe, Joe, Joe, Joe, Joe. Joe is voted off. When Joe arrives at the "you have a decision" sign, he immediately chooses to take the torch and go to Extinction Island, muttering that the other players made a big mistake by voting him out.
