McClintock for Mayor

Director: Dana Osburn

Year: 2013

Plot: Buried tensions arise when artist Dana M Osburn returns to her hometown to document her ex-boyfriend, Philip McClintock's bid for mayor. Part documentary, part personal story this video follows the artist as she returns to her old haunts in an effort to contextualize the events of her youth. In addition to McClintock himself, who is a soft-spoken man of 26 with a young wife and adopted daughter, the video follows a stable of odd characters including Willie Partridge, McClintock's ever-present campaign manager, Michael Zuriel McClintock, Philip's identical twin brother, and Colonel John Liptok, a disabled combat veteran of the US Marine Corps, and sworn enemy of the Pottsville Police Department.—Anonymous
