Plot: Gabriel (Piolo Pascual) rescues Jacob and puts on a floating log and he then pulls out Ruth (Jodi Sta. Maria) from the car. Gabriel bumps his head to the door and loses consciousness. Jacob gets lost. Ruth and Gabriel are then rescued by local fishermen. Gabriel is in the state of coma. Still floating, Jacob comes through a fog and is transported to another world and eventually coming ashore from a river. Gideon (Nonie Buencamino) chances upon him and rescues him. Gideon and his wife Adah (Ana Capri) takes this as a fulfillment of a prophecy of Inang Gaia. They then treat Jacob as their own son and introduce him to the tribe as Eli. Rebecca (Cherry Pie Picache), Ruth's mother, puts all the blame to Gabriel whereas Sarah (Tessie Tomas), Gabriel's mother, urges Ruth to not to surrender to the challenges. Rebecca urges Ruth to leave Gabriel for they are not married anyway. After five years, Gabriel wakes up from coma. He finds out that Ruth is now married to Judah (Joem Bascon).—cinefil
