Synopsis:
The teams depart from Singapore in the afternoon. Teams next fly to Shanghai and take taxis to the village of Zhujiajiao. Jet & Cord talk about being homesick. Louie & Michael think other teams may overlook them because they're older. Everybody gathers in the airport and reminisces about Brent & Caite U-Turning the ladies last episode. Dan & Jordan think Caite made a mistake U-Turning Carol & Brandy because Jet & Cord are a much stronger team. In Shanghai, Jet & Cord and Brent & Caite are first to arrive at the Venice-like village. The both get on gondolas. The cab drivers of Dan & Jordan and Louie & Michael stick with each other are and equally lost. Brent & Caite arrive at the Roadblock: One team member must make noodles by hand in the traditional style. Once they make 1,000 grams worth they will their next clue from Pingping, the world's shortest man. Caite (who is obsessed with Pingping) is slected to make the noodles. Jet & Cord arrive a few minutes and pick Jet for the challenge. Dan & Jordan and Louie & Michael finally figure out where to send their cab drivers. Caite seems to be struggling a little bit with her noodles, while Jet quickly gets the hang of the process. Brent is getting frustrated with Caite's progress. The other two teams get to their gondolas. With Jet almost done with his noodles, Dan & Jordan and Louie & Michael get to the Roadblock clue. Louie and Jordan are picked to make noodles. Right away Jordan is having trouble with the noodles.Jet finishes his noodles and they get the next clue: Teams must make their way back to Shanghai and find the next clue in the fashion district.Louie seems to have moved ahead of Jordan into second among the three remaining noodle makers. Jet & Cord get to the fashion district and get the next challenge. Inside a fashion house full of clothes, team must pick a model and a sketch of an outfit. They must find the exact clothes and accessories in the sketch and have the model change into the article. When they get the outfit exactly right they'll get their next clue. Caite finishes her noodles and they get their clue. With Jordan only halfway done, Louie is a few noodles away from completion. Louie finishes and they get their clue. Jordan starts to meltdown and Dan has to walk over to give him a hug. Jet & Cord miss their first attempt with model and try a different shirt. This time they get it right and are given their next clue: They must go to Hongkou football stadium and find the next clue. Brent & Caite arrive at the fashion house and pick their model and design. Louie & Michael get their clue and look for the fashion house. Jordan finally finishes his noodles. Brent & Caite hand the model their first guess at the outfit. Jet & Cord get to the stadium and learn that for the first time in Amazing Race history there is a second Roadblock this week: The teammate who did not perform the noodle challenge must organize a pile of 96 cards into the shape of large design. When the design is completed they will give the card to a group of 96 people seated in a section of the stands. The people will flip the card over and reveal a specific seat where their clue is located. Cord starts laying the pieces onto the track next to the field. Brent & Caite are correct in their first outfit guess and head to the stadium. Louie & Michael finally find the building and start picking out their outfit. Dan & Jordan arrive just ad Louie & Michael's model is trying on their first attempt. Louie & Michael's first guess is wrong and they think the stockings may be black. The take the pair of stockings which it appears Dan & Jordan's design requires. Brent gets to work on laying out his cards. Louie & Michael are incorrect again and Dan & Jordan are wrong on their first guess. The guys realize their models have on each other's stockings and have them switch. Louie & Michael's model is done slightly earlier and they head to the stadium in third. With Cord and Brent nearly completion of their design, Michael and Dan get to work on theirs. AT this point a huge gust of wind picks up and starts blowing Brent and Cord's cards across the stadium. They are forces to chase them down and try to weigh their cards down with articles of clothing and chairs.Cord is the first to complete his design and start handing out cards to the people in the stands. They find their clue and learn that the next step is to take the subway to the the Pit Stop, located at the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum. Brent finishes his design next and learns the location of their clue. Michael is having all kinds of trouble with his design. Dan is progressing well.Jet & Cord are the first team to get to Phil at the Pit Stop. They are awarded a luxury trip for two to Alaska. Brent & Caite get to Phil in second place. Dan finishes his puzzle and gets the pieces to the spectators. It looks as if Michael is going to give up and hand the pieces out in the wrong order. Dan & Jordan find their clue and leave the stadium. Dan & Jordan arrive at Phil and are third this leg. With sun going down, Michael finally finishes his puzzle. Louie & Michael get to Phil in fourth. He tricks them for a second before revealing that this is not an elimination leg.
